Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) is one of the leading higher education institutions in the northern Philippines. MMSU consistently ranks among the highest-performing institutions in professional licensure exams, with a track record of producing board topnotchers.


Like most undergraduates, MMSU students face different challenges when starting their careers. Some need help in understanding the job market, some may require assistance in identifying which career is best for them, while others struggle with how to be confident and ready when applying for a job. For some, it’s as simple as where to find jobs. 

Hence, MMSU takes a pioneering approach to helping their students through a collaborative project with Prosple titled “Marching to Career Success Virtual Experience.” As students complete this resource, they are guided toward professional success and be job-ready.

What is a Prosple Virtual Experience?

Virtual experience is a short (1-2 hours) online program developed by Prosple to provide students with insights into the professional world. The virtual experience consists of a number of mini modules designed to test and develop the users professional skills. This program is free, and can be completed in their own time, from anywhere.


Crafting this collaborative project with MMSU using the Prosple Virtual Experience feature

The Virtual Experience contains modules students complete to develop their soft skills and professional etiquette. Some of the benefits for students in completing these modules include:

  • Improved application profile and resume-building
  • Identifying the students career and job location preferences gives students a clear direction of career path and skills needed to succeed in their desired roles. They get to practice completing their profile aligned with the company theyre applying for, leading to a more tailor-fit application.

  • Understanding and developing essential soft skills employers are looking for, such as communication skills, time management, problem-solving, and teamwork, will help boost the students' self-confidence and contribute to their overall growth.

  • Practical exercises for learning
  • The tasks given in each module allow students to reflect on what they learned and put the learning into practice through actual applications to employers on the jobs board. This process will enable them to start making thoughtful and informed applications and get feedback or interviews from employers, which kick-offs the job-hunting process, especially for students who need help getting started.
